Welcome to St. Mark's CE Primary School
Living and Learning Together
The mission of St. Mark’s Church of England Primary School is to provide quality teaching and promote independent learning within a happy and caring Christian atmosphere; where each individual will develop a greater respect for themselves, others and their environment.
About St. Mark’s CE Primary School
St. Mark’s is a Church of England Voluntary Aided Primary School catering for boys and girls aged from four to eleven years.
It is maintained jointly by Hampshire Education Authority and the Diocese of Guildford. St. Mark’s takes its name from the Parish of St. Mark’s in which it is situated and we enjoy a close relationship with the Church community. The Vicar visits the school regularly to lead Acts of Worship and often works with groups of children when planning end of term services. The school also visits the Church regularly for services and to support other Curriculum subjects. An Inspector representing the Diocesan Education Department visits the school annually and reports on the academic and spiritual life of the school.
Following each Ofsted Inspection we have a statutory Inspection of Anglican Schools (S.I.A.S) which reports on the Christian nature of the school. Information about our Religious Education can be found here.
